Webcast information...
Below you will find information on Lance's webcast "Tolerance analysis for Planar Microwave circuits" that was presented on December 3rd, 2013.
Agilent will be providing this information and access to the recorded webcast here: www.agilent.com/find/eesof-innovations-in-eda
Slides (pdf) (if you open in acrobat the speaker notes can be found by clicking on an icon that appears in the upper left corner of the page on slides with said notes).
Workspace (.wsx) The "Notes" section of the workspace gives some pointers on how to start the analysis. Here is a zipped version
Comments on the webcast and analysis:
- The analysis presented is a brute force corner case analysis, not a statistical / yield analysis. Unlike discrete component designs we would expect many of the variations we analyze for to affect the whole structures rather than a random distribution of sub-components (i.e. the whole design would be over/under etched, suffer a shift in height, suffer a shift in dielectric constant).
- If anyone would like to expand the analysis to include other effects or add a statistical element to the process, I would be happy to host the workspace here giving due credit as long as the contributor is willing to provide contact information if questions arise.
- Thanks again to those who attended and especially those with questions!
- Special thanks to How-Siang Yap for suggestions and some editing of the slides.
